Honey-baked rhubarb

Tonight we had roast lamb followed by Honey-baked Rhubarb.  I would never have thought of doing this with rhubarb - I guess actually my rhubarb repertoire is pretty limited.  About the only thing I ever do with is it Apples & Rhubarb (and custard - yum!).  I also love Rhubarb & Ginger Jam, but I keep not getting around to learning how to make jam ( Read more... )

I don't like rhubarb... but this almost sounds appealling:-)

If you're looking for rhubarb recipes, you should definitely try the Rhubarb Champagne! It's amazing! Homemade softdrink, with no effort at all! and Pink! _Such_ a pretty colour! (There's a link to it from my blog, let me know if you can't find it, and I'll look it out.)

Oooh yes, I had forgotten about that. I had seen the recipe on both your blog and callistra's, but I keep forgetting to give it a try. I must try that once the rhubarb grows a bit more :-)

And if you really don't want to try it with rhubarb, Peter said he thinks it might be nice with pears...

It's the one way I actually _like_ rhubarb:-)

I've also done the welsh nectar (done with lemon) which was great, and I tried it with (frozen) raspberries... which was close enough to red creaming soda that I wouldn't bother fiddling... my next planned attempt is with oranges:-) I want to see how much like fanta it is:-)
