From soup kitchen to... pudding kitchen!

I know that early last month we were a soup kitchen, but later in the month we changed into a steamed pudding kitchen - mmmmm...

After making the "Brown Pudding No 1" in May, I was talking to my Mum about it, and she said "have you tried Marguerite pudding?".  Apparently this is a steamed pudding where you put jam in the bowl before you put the ( Read more... )

We've got a really nice Banana and (?caramel? butterscotch? toffee) puddings recipe, that as far as I can tell doesn't use cream. I'll try and find it to point you at it, if you like...

It does have cream, but only for serving... there's butter and wheat (flour and breadcrumbs), but I am assuming you have sorted out your substitutions for those already:-) I've never done it as a single pudding, but I'm sure it could be done fairly simply. This is one of our regular choices for a winter dessert-although, it's obvious we haven't done it for a while because it wasn't in our recipe database!
