3 official days on the new job. roughly 20 keys, a key card, a vault code and a raise to $8 an hour later...and somehow my job description now says that i do less than i did as general staff, but have more power. (less meaning: the general staff works their collective butts off, and i either walk around bored out of my mind until someone calls ( Read more... )

Heh, I've loved Sirius for YEARS now, bu I still find myself in that predicament... Sirius or Lupin? Sirius or Lupin? *grins* so I settled it with Sirius in general, Lupin is only my favorite to write about.

i still can't decide, but i think...okay, no, i don't know. they're both great. and snape is still my favourite, because he's just neat, but he's soooo shitlisted after that book, haha. and i was looking through photos from the movie, and i have to say that i think they did an awful job casting for lupin. i'm not sure about sirius...i guess gary oldman is okay but he's not close to the sirius that i see. hmph.

Point. I mean, okay. David Thewlis is an amazing actor. But... you know, the mustache ruins everything else. I could get past the fact that he has awful hair. I could get past the fact I was rooting for many other people. but he's not Lupin to me. But... but.. argh, I don't even know. *le sigh* and Gary Oldman wasn't my first choice either, but, tis life, tis life.

I just make myself happy by surfing art sites that have Lupin and Sirius down pat and drooling over them instead!

I think that I have a strange perception of the characters, because even when I read what Rowling says they look like, I formulate my own sort of looks for them after getting to know their personalities. I really like Alan Rickman as Snape, even though I think he is a little too adorably chubby, but that is something I can totally handle...because I want to have his children. Anyway. I think that someone that looks sort of Trent Reznor-ish, only maybe a bit more gaunt, would be perfect for Sirius...and I can't really think of anyone I would cast as Lupin. Maybe if Liev Schreiber was shorter, thinner and had long hair...he's got the right facial structure, anyway, I think. Who had you thought of?

Erm, I think we have a misunderstanding here...

I wasn't seriously being bitchy, I was just being silly...sort of the opposite of sarcastic, maybe? Uh...

Anyway, I know that's sort of hard to get across in text, especially since we havent talked in a while... so... yeah. Sorry. Shoulda put a ";)" in there or something. That's why I signed it with "kthxbai"...

i apologize, then. i am awful at reading sarcasm and other sorts of stuff online. i thought it perhaps was, when i first read it, and was going to say something stupid like "well, if you think that ruined it for you, just wait until i tell you all about how hermione was forced to marry an aged warlock because hogwarts was taken over by a mountain troll in cahoots with voldemort..." blah blah. (which did not happen, that would be dumb. everyone knows trolls come from caves, not mountains, and are obviously not smart enough to run a school.) but then i decided that if i was not sure if you were joking or not, i should probably not be sarcastic. oh well. i'm just an asshole, what can ya do?
