Well, the "official" training for Boston began on December 1st, and I'm getting used to the idea of running 6 days a week again.  The hardest part so far hasn't been the running - its been remembering things that I haven't had to worry about for a while (pack a recovery drink in my running bag instead of my lunch - bring a towel to put on the car ( Read more... )

Every so often it seems, something deep within me yearns to hear me speak some variation of the phrase, "Where in the hell am I?"  And that thing is keeping score, giving itself a point every time it gets me to acknowledge that I might be lost.  It chalks up extra points for desperation and foulness ("Where the hell am I?" is a meager 2 on the ( Read more... )

I'm starting to run a bit more, and running more = writing more.  I'm trying to put a little more weekly mileage under my belt before the real work begins.  Its been difficult in the past two months to get many miles in.  Most of my running has consisted of 5 or 6 milers during my lunch break.
