 In this, the year of our Lord 2010, Iggy Pop, the Godfather of Punk, the shirtless self-cutter, the smearer of peanut butter, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame alongside an act with an equally hardcore reputation, ABBA.  I can only hope that an improvisational jam session was part of the ceremony, for in such an act the universe

This may be the only thing I have actually been excited about happening in my hometown for a very long time. I STILL haven't actually been to the stupid place. And, really, if I thought long and hard about why it exists and what about it supposedly gives it meaning, I would not want to go. Really, it's a more official version of the Hard Rock Cafe.
