I Heart Languages with Alphabets    Justin has made his return to Taiwan, and with him he brought me an Afrikaans dictionary, and a "Teach Yourself" Afrikaans book for me. For those of you not in the know, he is South African and speaks Afrikaans. Being the language geeks we are, I decided I wanted to learn Afrikaans even though it is only spoken

Dutch seems like it would be mostly comprehendible (in writing) if one knows English and German. Dutch would be cool; I am taking Deutsch now. Long and short ü are going to be fun, but not nearly as fun as the variations of 'e' and 'u' en français.

Though, that the Chinglish there is not as bad as the teenage fashion shop that my friend saw in Japan named 'ménage à trois'. (okay, so it's not Engrish, but)

German is too involved for me, and I totally do not have a "german throat" as Justin has told me.
