You know, I was looking for jobs for this summer on craigslist and I'm pretty sure I remember seeing something about an internship doing something with Mandarin Chinese. You might want to search for that?

For some reason I remembered you saying you were coming home in August. But I'm sure you must be looking forward to it...I come back the day after you do, and oh god I can't waaaaaait.

Out of curiosity, have you heard yet where you are living next year? Gill hasn't emailed me about that yet. I'm really antsy.

i've looked all over craigslist for chinese things. i dont qualify for any of them, sadly.

i just found out with this gay rights group in boston that's looking for college kids to help them organize the office and do street work. ill see what happens.

my original plan was to go home in august, but i don't have the money. my school here isnt recognized by the states, so every cent i have spent here has been mine and my parents. i eventually ran out of my own money, and started leeching off my parents, and they said they werent going to fund me to stay for the summer.

i have NO idea where i am living next year. i emailed gill and said id like an orchard, namely three, but i have no idea where i stand.

Oh really? That kinda sucks. But good luck with the gay rights group, that sounds like it has the potential to be a fun gig! Kinda sucks that you couldn't stay for the summer, but Boston is a great place to be I think. I'm just really really excited about it, because I've never spent more than a day there and I've always loved it.

I also wanted an Orchard, any room in any of them, but she was like "well better give me some backup choices!" And basically I said anything but Carriage, but god, I will go nuts if I end up in Hill House or one of those non-group mods. Really hope I'm in an Orchard. I really wish she would get back to me about that. The lottery's over, the legwork should be done by now, right? I might kill someone if I have to thesis in a sophomore-infested door (I'm sure the kids'll be cool, but I need a bit of isolation dammit).

what's the deal with carriage? why did everyone and their brother tell me to tell gill "anything but carriage" haha im so confused. i don't even know where it is.

yeah, if they put me in hill, im going to screw that and live off campus some how.

where are you staying in boston? what are you doing?

my knowledge of boston is so stupid. "i go here to hang out when it's nice out. i go here to go shopping. i go here to eat dinner a lot. i live here. ummm yeah" i tried giving a tour to a couple of people and both times we ended up just getting korean food and sitting in the park laughing at people

Haha, I like peanut butter too, but don't have much more to say about it :P

It's always fun to surprise and impress people with your Chinese...and it's fun for me to read about it :D

Try a toasted peanut butter, nutella, and banana sandwich. Then you'll be proud to be an American.

That is AMAZING. Oh my god, when will they bring it to the east coast? White chocolate and raspberry peanut butter...it makes me miss the kooky food in the States so much.
