re: airlines: if you're considering airlines on a global scale (which you seem to be doing with your mention of Ryanair, which is an Irish airline..) then surely a U.S. storm, three accidents and one crazy charge proposal is but a tiny fraction of what airlines are going through right now.
anyhow, I flew to providence from baltimore yesterday and seem to have beat out the storm. o_o i feel really lucky

Also, I'm aware that Ryanair only flies around Europe. But I was saying that the image of the industry as a whole isn't very good, and I'm concerned.
And three accidents and one European airline are a rather tiny fraction, but the pileups of cancellations and rebookings in the U.S. (with ripple effects around the country due to overbooking practices) seems like a rather big issue, even if less singularly dramatic than any of those first four events.
By the way, I switched to a preset color scheme more recently. Any better? Got any suggestions of what to change? I'm not the best person at manipulating LJ's journal styles...
