Alert: Note that I am NOT one of the admins. I am just a person who's been playing GXC since the days of GXC1. I have no control over what they do with their company ( Read more... )

Quint, everything you're saying is so dead on! I also miss GXC1, I liked having alot of armies in different places, it made the game more strategic for the lowly soldier now you just login and follow orders which is becoming tedious and boring. I will not join any new games until the older ones have been fixed.

software upgrades are painful always and for everybody. HOWEVER - If i had received an email notifying me of the change and asking for my HELP in working out the bugs, I would have had a much more positive reaction to the problems. I heard about it last night in WD when ADMIN announced OH BTW this game is ending in 10 minutes. LAME. I WILL NOT ENTER MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER ANYWHERE ON THIS WEBSITE. Unless/Until i feel respected as a "customer".

Hey, who are you on GXC?

By the way, I'm not an admin (so I can't do anything about problems); I just had a few things to say about the site.

Very detailed analysis Quint. They totally should have finished the TMNT game. They turned it off right as we were turning the tides and marching towards victory.

Oh, and don't forget the WWII game, they "fix" the games by fixing the map, even if they only allow some teams to use it. They allowed Germany to exploit and glitch and warp to Marseilles but then closed the door behind them while England was stuck in Minsk, Russia. It worked out in the end, although it looked like they showed favoritism towards some teams.

Perhaps it's time for me to take a break from GXC as well.

I hate that the new format is not user-friendly at all. The black bars are a waste of space, and the constant hassling to sync with my facebook account are obnoxious. The admins are generally unresponsive, and that's annoying.

Oh, I also forgot to mention that armies were better than energy. It was much cooler to see how many enemy armies you killed as opposed to "wet-willying" someone.

He's really good at responding to emails quickly. He's great to go to for any questions, and is very helpful...at least in my personal experience.
