No, I don't like burqas either, and I personally don't see why women have to hide their face and hair and general humanoid body shape when men can show theirs

I've always wondered what the ratio is between time spent on political posturing and time spent on actually doing useful things. In various countries, with different forms of government.
I didn't think of that last utilitarian point; thanks for mentioning it.
As for the liberty argument--I included both that and the "fodder" point because both are valid arguments against such a ban, and it's just more reasons not to do it.
