1. What's your favorite line from a movie, and why? They're all from Lord of the Rings.
Pippin: I didn't think it would end this way.
Gandalf: End? No, the journey doesn't end here. Death is just another path, one that we all must take. The grey rain curtain of this world rolls back, and all turns to silver glass. And then you see it.
Pippin: What Gandalf? See what?
Gandalf: White shores, and beyond. A far green country under a swift sunrise.
Pippin: Well that isn't so bad.
Gandalf: No. No it isn't.
Smeagul: What's... taters, precious?
Samwise: Po-tay-toes! Boil 'em, mash 'em, stick 'em in a stew.
Samwise: It's like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo, the ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were, and sometimes, you didn't want to know the end, because, how can the end be happy? How can the world go back to the way it was, when so much bad happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow, because even darkness must pass. A new day will come, and when the sun shines, it will shine out the clearer. Those are the stories that stay with you, that meant something. Even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folk in those stories had lots of chances of turning back - only they didn't. They kept goin' because they were holding on to something.
Frodo: What are we holding onto, Sam?
Samwise: That there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo, and it's worth fighting for.
2. Who's your favorite villain from a movie, and why? This is a tough one. There are a lot of villain's that are just super amazing, but in the end I'm going to have to pick Fernand Mondego from The Count of Monte Cristo.
He backstabbed his best friend, Edmond Dantez, just because Edmond got captaincy of the ship they both worked on. Fernand was also in love with Edmond's soon-to-be-fiancee, and by setting up Edmond as a traitor to France, Edmond was sent to this prison for fifteen years before escaping. Then, Fernand was made into a count, married Edmond's fiancee, and pretty much took a shit on Edmond's face.
That's the ultimate betrayal right there, though. Sentencing your best friend to die on this rock somewhere, taking the girl, money, and getting away scotchfree.
3. Name one movie everyone else loves that you hate. Anchorman. I just did not think that it was funny at all. I couldn't even sit through all of it, it was that bad.
4. Name one movie everyone else hates that you love. IT by Stephen King. It scares the pants off of me, even though I've sat through it literally over a hundred times. No one else seems to get into it and I can't fathom why!
5. What's your favorite Pixar film, and why? A Bugs Life. That movie is seriously so funny. I love how these like circuis freaks end up saving the day because it's so unorthodox. Bugs in a circuis?! LOL. It's just great.
But I also really, really love Monsters INC. OMG Aren't they making a 2nd one?!
