I agree with sooo much of what you just wrote. The original principles that our country was founded on have completely turned to dust. I am sorry to say I'm American sometimes too, because as much as I love the places and people here the government makes us all look like selfish, money-hungry violent jerks. I'm with you on the Europe thing :( Unless something drastic happens in the next 5 years I'm gone!

I think the other reason why countries are doing so well or are so much more appealing is because most people there are really proud of their countries (Hell, I'd go there too just because it seems like everyone loves being there). For example, the Japanese and Germans still love their country despite what happened only a half century ago
