I need some. I'm thinking of maybe doing a RP, but I don't know, I've had some bad experiences with douchebag moderators etc. and I don't want to get involved with teenagers posting questionable content. I'm thinking DW, Torchwood, Farscape, even old trilogy Star Wars. Any recommendations?

For writers' block, I've recommended the One Word Meme I've done twice now. It gets your brain working and focused on writing, but it's short so you don't get blocked, and so you do get a sense of achievement from it :)

I've seen some people turn it into a drabble/ficlet meme too, if you feel more comfortable with longer than a sentence.

I might do that, perhaps tomorrow, but I'm still craving an RP as a method of coping with stress. It used to be a nice little escape when I was a teenager and got my imagination working.

Right now, I'm especially stuck on Biohazard, and I suspect it's partly because I just want to skip ahead to the good parts and to hell with exposition. I've been working at it, a little at a time, though.

you could always try sneaking into a cybering rp and try to start up meaningfull conversations.
or i could direct you to a message board that has a bunch of decent if not crazy rp'ers. (i have the link at home though...and i r @ skool) i rped with some of the old schoolers and it's kinda fun. ^_^ hell some will even do legit one-one rping.

I could get into a cybering RP and start messing with people, sure, but that's less escapism and more amusement. I checked the link and you have to sign up apparently? Well, since we might be starting a tabletop soon (maybe) perhaps I should just wait and see...

Won't solve your RP problem, but LJ has a community called all_unwritten that gives a prompt a day.
