Yeah, because in time travel sex, you would remember meeting with yourself and so it'd be kind of inevitable. Audrey Niefenegger said so. But in clone sex, maybe the clone would have certain feelings about wanting to be her own person, and would be like, "no. I don't want to have anything to do with you because I have identity issues which must be resolved and therefore I must go my own separate way. Goodbye."
Actually, I said no to #1 but I *am* saying why, and it wasn't *quite* on the list -- namely that I'm really, really straight (an irritating handicap in life, but one I've had to just deal with) and another female body that I'm not directly neurally wired to just wouldn't do it for me, even if it was mine, if that makes any sense at all. That's not homophobia/fear of homosexuality per se. Just that I'd have a better chance of getting turned on by a Chippendale end table than my past self

No this is exactly what I was looking for! The answers were deliberately inaccurate and irreverant... but thanks for answering below. I totally understand the being straight thing. I am visually attracted to girls, and many times I think I could see myself with a girl- but they don't smell right to me. Boys have a different kind of smell. Girls' smell may be pretty, feminine, soft and all that, but it does nothing for me. That's why I don't think it would really work for me. Think Flowers!verse :)
But yes, you bring a valid point. I wouldn't consider an artificially created clone to be a sibling, but some would, hence the twincest answer... and for the record, yes, very ew.

Think Flowers!verse :)Oh, I totally know what you mean. I'm even more extreme -- even pics of women don't really do much for me (I can have a general aesthetic response like, "Gosh, she's really pretty," but it's like I'm looking at fabric patterns or something); what really "gets" me is the *differences* between men and women. Men are built differently (*rowr!*), sound different, definitely smell different, etc., etc., and that's what my system responds to

Totally understand all you said about the not being bisexual etc. but have nothing to add.
With regards to clones, I realize they really are basically just identical twins separated by time, but in a lot of sci fi cases when it's not necessarily a genetic cloning situation - like John Crichton for a prime example - and they have all the same memories, relationships, etc. it's a bit different. Hence the sci fi angle. I would see a clone as having come from myself - but not like a sister or a daughter. A double, with no family of her own per se. I'm not sure I'd go there either, though. It'd be... rather beyond weird.

So you never know how it'll go, with a clone.

Mine's more I'm uncomfortable with the implications of time travel touching. How will I be the current future me if I diddled the past unsexed me?
