Wow!!! I can't hear it, but every time it is set off, I have a physical response - blood pressure elevation, tightness in the chest, a total stress response. What the hell is THAT all about!?!?!

Well, I can sure hear it, and it'd damn well drive me out of a store. countessaleska nailed it when she said it's like the whine from a TV or computer monitor or other electronics that are old/going bad. It's not loud, but it's *supremely* annoying, and it goes right through the eardrums, painfully.

Yeah, it's horribly annoying. I can understand why malls are being boycotted.

I can hear it. The kids actually use this frequency as a cell phone ring tone now, instead of having it vibrate when they get a text message. That way, none of the teachers know what's going on.

Except me.

Mwahahahahahaha. Ha.
