You know I have to agree with you. I hate clubs, I am too old for clubs. I hate dancing in public and, I am not a fan of doof doof music.

When I was back in Brisbane old friends and I went to our normal haunts and it was not the same. We went to The Beat where we used to go to get $1 drinks (now $1.50 ... 50% increase in 3 years!!){66% increase for full nips} and dance. Instead we ended up on the balcony chatting. I discovered the amazing pubs that there are in Brisbane and was able to chat about everything. Heck we even drank Teetly ale (I blame you) in a pub called the Elephant and Wheelbarrow where a british guy hit on me. He kept telling me all about his Hong Kong raincoats, which I later found out was a referance to condoms.

So to sum up my pointless comment. I like pubs. Pubs are fun, clubs are not.

Ditto on the pubs vs clubs. I just hate clubs now a days. No fun at all. Luckily I live in a part of town where there are 4 pubs in strolling distance.

What gets me about clubs is the vacuous idiots who infest them.

I have a habit of walking through the middle of fights if I am drunk looking for the people I was following who now happen to be behind me. There is always usually some sort of comment made to people during the night that sparks some sort of "I'll have them if they come near me again" so you end up having to be the better person and calm them down and tell them it's not worth it which spoils your own night.

Vicious circle.

Yup. I second that. I hate clubs. Pubs (or bars as they are called here) I can stand...cause I'm not forced to watch stupid drunk people dance. :P

And since I don't drink at all (can't stand the taste or smell of alcohol), I'd never step foot in a club anyhow. :D
