i know how you are feeling. i have a big day tomorrow(tues) when i have to go into a brand new kitchen of this super high end restuarant and i am super nervous about it.

on a side note. i am watching spanglish right now and i like it a lot

For your wish fulfillment graciousness, you get treated to a photo of me dancing. Yay!

Yeah, it's "brave" to be a teacher, but what a rush when you see that light go on in a kid's eyes...I do a lot of training, and get that occasionally...I dated a teacher, and the light in HIS eyes when he talked about the light in one of his students eyes, that "eureka" moment...it was amazing.

You're gonna be one of those amazing teachers that kids remember all their life, like Hazel Smith, and Ellyne Griffeth, and Bruce Woods, and Alan and Brenda Craven (yes, they were cool teachers, and they were cool spouses--he used to brag that she threw a knife at him once, and you could see the love in his eyes when he told it. Is that cool to tell your students your wife threw a knife at you? Yeah, I think so.).

People who don't care about what they're doing usually don't get nervous beforehand.

Next time you're looking for a fun movie, I got a kick out of "TransAmerica".

the light in their eyes right now is a bit clouded by their resentment that I am actually making them do work. They had a very permissive teacher before.
I really do wish I had such a story as that. I probably have good stories somewhere in my mind and experiences. It will just take awhile before I find them and feel comfortable enouch sharing them.
I love that he told that story with love in his eyes. One of my favorite couples is George and Martha, from the movie Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? Relationships are always better when they have that sense of...tension?
I've been wanting to see TransAmerica for forever, but your recomendation just moved it to the top of my netflix list!
