My room is very quiet. So is the common room. This is all very boring. I did not even bother to go to Hogsmeade.

Theodore, I saw that look you gave me in the common room. I do not know what you were thinking, but I am sure it was wrong. I am sure this is all very wrong.

It's something of a quiet evening all around.

I suppose the silence is not inherently a bad thing.

You are... okay then?

Yes, well enough.

I'll have more to say later.

You always say the right thing.

I look forward to later.

Did I look at you? I didn't notice. You're not the first person to tell me, either. Davis asked me if I was cross at her. And then Chester Bagnold told me that some second years were spreading the rumour that I'd swallowed Pansy's boo hag and I can now steal their skins.

There are fewer people to look at around here at the moment, granted, but there was a definite look. It does not matter, I suppose. I am certain you did not swallow her boo hag, but it might be a good rumour for you. Second years are rather obnoxious.

I might've looked at you. Or stared. I was preoccupied... Thinking about my father and other things.

Not that you asked to know. Ah, anyway.

Yes, second years are rather obnoxious.

I thought about going to Hogsmeade myself, then it seemed to me that Hogsmeade wouldn't be as silent as the castle. By the time I decided I wanted noise instead of quiet, it was too late to go.
