heh. In the Telegraph this morning there was an article about how howards went to shake a woman's hand in a parking lot in perth, but she told him to bugger off, and how would he like to try and pay bills on a pension.

I saw on the news Howard going to a worksite, and being chanted out with union songs.

Many, many builders refused to shake his hand. He needs to understand the tide is (finally) turning, and his popularity is only with those he surrounds himself with - rich, white people with only their self interest at heart.

The welfare system does need a massive overhaul. The fact we treat people on pensions so poorly is disgusting.

Maybe you should go into politics. They only work at most 100 days a year, and even a backbencher gets paid $127,000 per year.

I thought the CPI was 4%? Or am I confusing that with inflation?

The CPI fluctuates from quarter to quarter, and I think it was 4% when the cost of petrol and bananas took their latest massive increase.

It's stabalised now slightly, simply because there haven't been any wild swings like that, rather than the cost of anything going down.
