For those in the know

It seems that my motherboard has died (I fucking hate computers), and I'm going to have to buy a new one.

Do they normally come with that heat transfer sticker/gel thing that goes between the processor and the board, or do you have to get that seperately?

I can't remember whether it came with the processor or the board last time.

Yep, there's normally a thermal 'pad' thingy on the stock heatsink that they give you. I dunno how good they are tho.

I think I've got some heatsink paste lying around if you need some.

Just re-read, and realised I didn't answer your question. The pad comes with the processor.

Cheers. So if it's on the heatsink, then I don't really need to replace it, do I?

I'm not one for overclocking, or even over working the PC at all, so it's not that I really need to have excellent heat dissapation.

To agree with Asynch, it comes with the heatsink / processor, not the mainboard.
And it's not very much, you're far better off to buy some separately.
