One of the things that's so irritating about this kind of thing is that with all the distraction, people are getting really lax about keeping an eye on the dirty Irish. And what about the yellow hordes reporting back to the devious Fu Manchu? We need some more eternal vigilance here!

A recent Daily Show bit had a nice montage of one of the latest tee-hee affectations amongst "conservative" leaning panel "news" (the actual serious downside of this kind of thing is that we're very much past peak for air-quote production) of things like "With Osama bin...um, oops, I mean, with Obama's--haha!--latest appearance..."

It's a common saying that sometimes things need to get worse before they get better, but I'm really not looking forward to political noise theater getting even more stupid.
