Inspiration please..

While going though my flist I came across dolimir_k's post where she said that she wasn't going to even attempt NaNoWriMo this year, but instead she was going to try to do a little something every day according to a schedule. This I thought was inspired and after thinking about it for a bit I thought - why not? Of course I am not quite as ambitious as she ( Read more... )

For your song - 'We've come too far to end it now' by Smokey Robinson and the Miracles. And I don't see why you can't just use it as a theme, rather than trying to quote the jolly thing. ;-)

The big Nano's too much for me (especially in November, which is feral at work) so I joined up with one of the smaller ones last year, picowrimo, where you set your own targets and small or large or individual as you like... I found it lovely :)

(ps - will think you up some prompts...)

The big NaNo is too much for me as well.. no matter the time of year - but the picowrimo sounds rather like an official version of what I am trying to do on my own here... cool!

And of course I am looking forward to any prompts you sling my way. :D

It is, and you get an extra cheersquad :) You could join me over there (I will probably, like last year, nominate a small number of words and then find myself going well over...)

Some prompts:
Let go you can trust me.
I think I survived pretty good, actually. You should see everyone else.
Let's just agree that we both hate her, okay?
Come with, or stay at home, it's your misery.
Your father hates me, doesn't he?
At the end of the day, I expect to look back on this as a minor setback.
I tried killing him with kindness, but it didnt' work.
You act like your life is a Monty Python skit.
Do me a favor, would you? Dumb it down.
I'm Jewish. Deal with it.
Patience was his middle name. It was his gift. At least when it came to me, it was.
I want you back, why is that?
Would you please put us out of misery and go talk to him already?
I wasn't trying to stare. It's just that...well...he's beautiful don't you think?
Honestly now, what do you think of him?
You know what, there's no point to this.

But seriously, thank you Patt so much for so much to choose from - this will be very helpful I think and I can already feel one or two sparking something. :)

i'd just love to see some more in the gambler AU, lol.

Prompt words (not all for same fic, lol): piñata, rubber chicken on a wheel, tricycle, greyish-blueish-ooze, and crying angels.

I will keep the Gambler'verse in mind... maybe might do a uber shortie or two in the 'verse, who knows?

And as for the prompt words.. what does it say about me that I zeroed in on 'greyish-blueish-ooze' in front of 'Rubber chicken on a wheel', or any of the others? ::thinks that she should be worried over her mental health::

Anyway, thank you very much for the encouragement and the wonderfully diverse prompt words. :D
