...you know you are the parent of a daughter when you have her dress picked out 4 days in advance :-)

I've been packing for MM-M and it has become apparent at the age of seven that she is a mini-goth...her entire wardrobe is black (and red)...I try and sneak in pink things but they never get worn. This is both extremely cool but also makes me miss the days when I could dress her in frilly flippary.

And I theenk you know you are the parent of a 2yr-old daughter when you have her dress picked out 4 days in advance, but she somehow always ends up in a weird hodge-podge outfit on account of suddenly and for no apparent reason deciding halfway through the dressing experience that she will NOT wear that. Or possibly anything. And the question becomes simply, how to get her out with some sort of clothes on, preferably ones with no stains or holes, rather than how well those clothes go together.
