Summer Court Insider: Imperial Tournament
For those of you who weren't spectating or participating, there was quite an event to herald the end of this year's Imperial Summer Court - a tournament, bringing together the best warriors from across the clans in a display of power, grace, and martial prowess. Representatives from all the warring clans were present, and all performed admirably, but the end result favored Agni Rastra. Firelord Azula's flame techniques proved more or less unstoppable, and although there were some close moments, she claimed the prize following a final match against the clanless Toph Bei-Fong.
Mysterious Fog Raises Spirits, Questions
The Obon Festival was followed by a most unusual occurence this year - a mysterious fog settled over the capital, with no discernible cause. Perhaps related was the inexplicable surge of partying that swept the island - once the festival ended, the festivities only got bigger and drunker. Investigations are underway, and I'll be reporting again once we know more.
Warrior of Figaro Commits Sexual Harassment
On a similar subject to the above article, I encountered first-hand evidence of sexual harrassment being committed by a member of the martial forces of the Kingdom of Figaro. The victims of his abuse were many and numerous -- one Reimu Hakurei, maiden of the Hakurei Shrine, was approached for comment, but had nothing to say on the subject. The perpetrator, left unnamed due to privacy concerns, is believed to still be at large. Several witnesses described him as being somehow affiliated with lanterns, or possible the color green.
Vampire Sightings in Northern Hyrule
An army of powerful youkai, believed to be vampires, struck suddenly in the dead of night in the Kingdom of Hyrule. While the enemy was routed by Hyrulian and Agni Rastra forces, a lot of people died, a lot of buildings were destroyed, and a lot of people were generally left much less happy than they were before. While it's far from confirmed, rumors are abound that Figaro was involved in the coordination of the attack -- if this turns out to be true, then it will certainly lead to strained relations between Figaro and Hyrule in the future.
