I want to get a few items for nursing when #2 arrives. I don't think I had much for J. Definitely, no nursing clothing but a few nursing gowns. There are some pretty gowns and camis on gap.com. I'm going to post a pic and tell me what you think of them. Most of the time, especially in those first few months, I wore a sleep bra with nursing

You know, I always just slept in regular shelf-bra camis with nursing pads. Initially it was a pain to have to take off the strap every time I went to nurse, but I got used to it. I tried one nursing cami from Target and hated the fit. I just wasn't big enough to fill it out properly, I think. And then the shirt was too short. I always thought of trying the Glarmour Mom tanks or something like that, but I never actually did.
I'll be interested to hear what others have to say about the nursing gowns. Sounds like a good concept.
I was like you with the NIP. And next time, I might buy one of those Hooter Hiders or something like that to help me a bit. But then again, T was always pretty particular about everything being just right. :)
Gee, I'm no help. I'm interested to see what others say though. I hope you got back to sleep!

I'm definitely getting a Hooter Hider. The blanket thing never worked for me because I needed to see to get him latched.

Did you use Lily Padz last time? I loved those.
I'm totally going to get the hooter hider next time too. Sorry I'm not much help, but let me know what you find because I'll be in the exact same boat.

I usualy sleep in a tank and boy shorts anyway, so the transition was natural

For nursing bras I bought a few at Motherhood. Once I got more comfortable with breastfeeding I would sometimes just wear regular bras and pop them out, like little ol me did. This time, I think I'm going to look for a nursing bra that unhooks in the front middle. I think that would just be easier than the hook being at the top of each cup.
For tops I preferred wearing sweater twinsets. That way I could lift up one shirt, but still be covered in the back (with the cardigan) while feeding. I think I'll be stocking up on some new tanks too.
