Glad you're feeling pretty good so far. And that Camp Dance at the zoo sounds really fun! Enjoy your evening out.

Are you still using your health insurance, or are you going through Mark's work now? If you are using yours, check their policy. With my insurance, if I didn't come back after maternity leave, they would retroactively make me pay the company's portion of the monthly premiums for my entire maternity leave (several thousand dollars). If your work has a similar policy, it might make sense to come back for a week or two after your leave and then turn in your notice. Just a thought!

I'm using my insurance. The thing with my job is we are under 50 employees so we don't qualify for FMLA. They do allow us to take 12 weeks for maternity or other health reasons, but aren't required to. They only paid my insurance through my leave last time because they are nice. In our environment, I wouldn't feel right about coming back for week and then quitting. I don't want to burn bridges and in our small, family-like atmosphere I'm afraid I would.

Yeah, makes sense. If you're going to have to switch to different insurance anyway, then you might as well tell them sooner rather than later. I agree that it's better not to burn bridges if you can avoid it.
