As a result of the recent scare, I've just spent a half-hour adding individual disclaimers to all of my fanfic. I'm not planning on leaving LJ, but I do have a GJ account, just in case. Will friend you there.

Someone got banned for incest fic? I read about the other one, and okay, I can maybe understand that, with the underage thing, but incest? Sure, it's illegal, but so is bank-robbing. Or speeding.

elaboration (fauxglass on GJ) was banned at the same time as ponderosa121. I just found her post about it here, and apparently it was Fred/George (adult) artwork. I guess the letter from LJ says that they believed it was also depicting minors, though. (They seem to be making that inference on any piece of explicit art that does contain a) hairy old men or b) a note expressly stating that neither character is under the age of 18. I guess the former warnings for when they ARE under 18 are no longer sufficient?)

But IMO, this all has less to do with minors than it does with the fact that these artworks were explicit slash, but LJ can't ban on the basis of homosexuality without getting slapped with a lawsuit. I'm not generally one for conspiracy theories, but in the EXACT SAME COMMUNITY that these pictures were found, I have seen very explicit art depicting underage male/female pairings as well. As far as I know, everyone who got banned was banned because of something depicting a m/m pairing.
