The live action puppets is a fairly recent event. As in the last year or so. They debuted the new form at a con showcasing "Potter Puppet Pals: The Musical!" and sort of went nuts after. I like the new format of crack.

My favorite is "The Mysterious Ticking Noise".

It's so freakin' addicting!

I know, after someone linked me to that one, I spent like half an hour clicking through all the rest (and rewatching old animated favorites) on YouTube. :D

Just to clarify my answer to which alternate journal I'm most likely to use, it's a toss-up between IJ and JF. I've been using IJ more, because the interface at JF (especially for creating the communities and other journals I need) has been horrible, lately.

As for GJ, they have some TOS issues that mirror LJ's, and an awful lot of users who are very, very hostile towards those of us from LJ. Therefore, I think that we're in trouble over there.

I feel pretty much the same way. I like IJ's interface, since it's so similar to LJ's, and I like the cheap paid accounts (JF seems awfully expensive by comparison, although I know, logically, it's only a couple bucks a year more ...). AND IJ's owner seems to be thrilled that we're there, and making all sorts of overtures to lure fandom there (someone said he actually upped the number of friends free account users could have just for us?). On the other hand, fandom is already pretty well established on JF, they have a history of protecting us, and it seems like a lot of people who are fleeing are fleeing in that direction.

And, yeah, I've heard about the GJ TOS issues, too, so I'm kind of scared to transfer over there, even though I've had an account with them for years.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see how it all pans out ...

I need to back my journal up to IJ and JF, at least, and then start simultaneously posting or something. I've got a back-up on my harddrive, but it would be nice to have a weblog back-up, too.

Lmao, yes, we have killed JF many a time ...remember CrystalWank 2004? I think we killed it at least twice over the course of that ONE WANK. :D
