It's not really my intention for coming here again so soon. >.<

But she had another episode.

Just about 15 minutes ago and in my room too. Both cats were in here and I was wrapping presents on the floor with my iPod on. ET was sleeping on my bed when I looked over and saw her, eyes wide open and freaked the crap out, falling off the corner of my ( Read more... )

My Mom has an Australian Shepard Beagle mix that had seizures, his name was Sandy. The Vet put him on Phenobarbital which seemed to help considerably...

As for cats, I am unsure if a vet would use the same thing! I just looked it up, and yes...it is used for cats too:

I wish you much luck with this situation...

Yeah, we're just going for an examination but are hoping that at the most we can put her on some drugs to take the edge off and maybe with a little luck, the frequency of this too.

Thanks for the recommendation, and the luck :3 *hugs*

After Sandy was put on the Phenobarbital, he no longer had any seizures, except I do recall him having one small one and his meds were increased a little, but Sandy did a long and happy life...The vet did do blood tests on him to make sure the levels were alright and that the medicine was not causing any other damage...

*hugs back from both Pickles and I*

Ugh I just hate hearing about kitties in trouble!
I luff cats. ;-;

I hope you can get her to the vet to find out what's going on. Maybe she's got some kind of cat flu? I know there was a dog flu going around that was making dogs go nuts...

XD I started immediately thinking about that disease cows were having a couple of years ago when you mentioned dog flu. Except I forget the name of it. Dang >.<

I dunno if it's flu because she definitely doesn't go out at this time of the year and hadn't for a lot of the summer. >.< We don't really come into too much contact with other cats so we couldn't have carried it in. And if we did, then Abby would have gotten sick too; so seems to be pretty normal. *shrugs*

I looked at a few places online just by googling cat seizures, and from what I get by glimpsing at them, seizures in felines are often made by underlining conditions. I'll need to read a bit more into it...
