Oh LJ, I'm sorry I haven't been around as much. T.T Lazy Bun is sure lazy these days XD
Anyways, hope everyone on my Flist had a good new year. I spent the day sitting in a theatre with a full bladder with my sisters, their significant others and my dad watching Avatar. During the night I just stayed home with my sisters and a few of their friends and spent it eating stuff, talking, watching TV and playing games. Wasn't too eventful at all, although I did get up at 3 in the morning cause someone forgot to tell my oldest sister's boyfriend how to turn off the front lights. <.<
Speaking of which, the two of them left last night for home (Winnipeg) and the house is nice quiet and mine again. ^^ As much as I like to see her, it's really kind of nice to see them off. Cruel to say? Maybe, but not that much when the rest of my family practically agrees XD We all have a 'shit-distruber gene,' so it is nice to not see so much drama happening between us all. And yeah, drama did fly between my sisters, and my oldest's boyfriend got in the mix of it, which if he was smart, he would have kept his mouth shut and out of things that weren't family business <.<
This was the first time we got to meet him too, and well, first impressions are important right? Suffice to say, he didn't really impress us very well. >.> In addition to getting involved in family matters and saying somethings to my middle sister that he shouldn't have, he didn't seem to be what we expected I guess. He wasn't all really outright rude or anything, but he wasn't super polite or even seemed to be too interested in us (or me, I dunno if my mom feels the same). I've been playing my DS in front of his nose ever since he got here and it took him until last night to finally ask me what I was playing *rolls eyes*
Also he would kinda look at me oddly when we finished a conversation o.O It didn't creep me out but it was kinda weird.
I dunno what to think about him. I was expecting someone a little different, possibly someone who could put a leash on my sister XD It seems strange to think that she in a relationship with someone who acts, from the looks of things, quite a bit similar to her.
Speaking of my DS, I'm loving playing 358/2 Days :D It isn't the best game in the world, but crap, the story's cool (except now I'm stuck on a boss battle @.@) Roxas is off my nerves a bit now, and I'm rather still indifferent about Xion. But Axel, yeah, he's my favroutie now. :3 I don't really like how ridiculously button-smashing it is, but it's nice and makes for a good introduction into the series. And crap, I need to play that series now like burning! XD
My only issue with it is that I has no PS2 (otherwise I probably would have played it already). My brother-in-law does though, so I think during the summer I might try and borrow it or do a swap with him for our Super Mario Bros Wii copy, and then go out and find some KH and KH2 copies. ^^
I found out that my local mall's HMV has a copy of KH2 when I went to go and see today, so that's one down ^^ I'll just have to find the other one now.
Oh! Speaking of the mall, I checked out the TRU and holy crap did they even have a large shipment of Poke-goods there o.o It's just about the most I've seen there since i've started checking ^^ They had loads of the new figures and plush sets and even these Polly Pocket-equese sets too. I ended up getting nothing, even though my promise to my parents was about buying stuff online (...mostly) it's not all that worth it too me anymore ^^;; It's probably best that I don't spend my money like that anymore XD;;; I don't really need anymore figures or anything, and the last time I bought something to buy, it's still sitting in my room (Does anyone want a Landmin at all? TOT)
Besides, if I don't spend my money on things like that, I can save instead. I found the trailer on Youtube for Birth by Sleep which comes out in a few days I think, and oh God do I love how it looks. And Ven. Holy crap, I think I'm going to love Ven, or at least like him better than Roxas? XD The scenes in the trailer where he's frozen just tugs at me. >w< And Aqua looks beautiful. I haven't really drawn anything in a while, been trying too though, and I think I might try and make some fanart of her. She looks like an awesome character ^^
I've wanted a PSP for a couple of years now and this could be a good incentive to getting one :3 The problem is I don't know if I should go for an older cheaper model or wait until the ridiculously expensive PSP Go gets a price drop. Though from Sony's track record, I don't think that'll happen anytime soon *sighs*
Plus, I think a lot of games for the PSP is cheaper if you get the physical copy as opposed to the downloadable copies. *shrugs* So I dunno. I don't think from what I've seen Birth by Sleep is downloadable, although it would probably change.
Ah well. *shrugs*
Oh yes, I have checked my marks from last semester as well as my schedule. Lets just say I screwed up pretty badly ^^;; But I guess I'm at least still in college. My schedule is a crap ton lighter looking this semester than last, mostly cause of my screwing up, but I managed to make it look a little more filled by adding in Microbiology again. I took it last time, but did pretty poorly, so maybe a second time with a different teacher will be better.
The nice thing is that I have Tuesdays off and most of my classes are in the morning, so I'm probably going to try and find a job this semester too. I could use the money, especially for something like a PSP and with HGSS coming out in March (SO DAMN EXCITED *squee* <33) and with AN in May. So I doubt I'll be feeling as stressed and time-constraint and quite possibly less miserable as I've been in the past four months. So that should be okay ^^ I just hope I find a place that is hiring, and that I feel comfortable at ^^
