Random huh? I've never actually tried it before since the only form of RPing I've done over the past three-four-ish years have been through forum RPs. And even though I love those and it's taught me to write well, it's made me a little initimated

What's the difference between a dressing room and a normal RP comm?

- Does not have apps ever, allows you to create an account on the fly and go
- Also does not have character limits (how many characters you can play at a given time), or activity requirements(how much is required to post with a character each month).
- Allows you to play as many of the same character or from the same canon at once.
- Allows alternate universe characters of any sort, including canon characters crossed with other series. See here and here for examples.
- Less strict on characterization and whatnot
- A bit more random, generally less focused on plots, since DRs were originally created in mind for testing characters for real games.
- Only does one style of simple third person prose. Here is an example.
Normal RP comm
- Requires applications for fill fo every character, here is an example ( ... )
