So Eric and I canoed the Weeki Wachee River yesterday. We had been looking forward to this for a few months now- and last week we finally made our reservations. Gosh, canoing is hard! I've done it twice. Once was in Florida with a now ex-boyfriend (somewhere in Tampa---was it the Everglades? or is my geography wrong at the moment...?) and I got sunburned. It never occurred to me to apply sunscreen and to wear a visor. My thighs were openly exposed to the sunlight for hours and boy did I ever burn!!! We were out there for hours and we soon learned who needed to be positioned at the back of the canoe (him) and who needed to sit in the front (me). And he was supposedly a boy scout, so he should have known better
