It is terrific you posted this to your blog. The more who speak out and band together in support of gay teens who are bullied, the faster the problem will become a relic of an unenlightened past. Bravo.
I completely agree. I must say I'm lucky enough to have come from the town in which Joel Burns lives. In fact, we have many mutual friends. He definitely makes me proud of my hometown.
I know many people who were bullied at school, as children, my ex-gf was one and she nearly committed suicide because she thought she was the only one. In today's global society there's absolutely NO reason for this kind of thing to go on. Social networking, many help sites and conscious and caring people should close the gap for kids who are bullied and mistreated. What's so terrible about this is that adults not only allow it, but often participate in it. It MUST STOP.
