A sonogram is for looking at a developing fetus, to see if it's a boy or girl or sometimes to see if it's there. I think you mean mamogram.

neeeeehhhhh not necessarily.

a sonogram is just an image of a structure that is produced by ultrasonography (reflections of high-frequency sound waves); yeah it is most often used to observe fetal growth, but is also used to study bodily organs
