muffin tin

for some reason (which i will not go into at the moment) i was googling the term "muffin tinning". i ended up discovering some amusing (to me, anyway) terminology from solid-state physics: "muffin-tin approximation", "muffin-tin potential" and "muffin-tin orbital". and no i don't really understand what they mean.

what are the signs of a rabbit that is possibly dying of old age? my dad called me yesterday and said that his (at least 7 year old) rabbit has hardly been eating the past few days...not even his daily half banana treat. he did perk up a small bit and eat some nibbles of cabbage and food pellets last night. he is drinking normally ( ... )

to be honest, it's really tough to know. rabbits, being prey animals, are good at hiding problems. if he hasn't been eating for at least a few days, and if he is noticeably less active, i would recommend a vet visit. it could be any number of things, and it's really impossible to know if it's just old age or something fixable.
