...it is necessary to debunk the some obsolete myths about bacterial reproduction. For a long time it was assumed that because there is no shuffling of the chromosomes in asexual reproduction, that evolution must happen very slowly among asexual organisms such as bacteria. Also a good thing to mention when the hets get going about us being "unnatural." Nature is slutty, and squirts genetic material around in all kinds of non-procreative ways.

I think this can also be used to argue that men hooking up in rest stops through gloryholes are "much more in love with the world".
