Wow. Just wow.
I have absolutely loathed the last three Harry Potter movies. I left PoA in tears. I thought it was impossible to please me.
Mike Newell has proved me wrong.
Although a bit rushed, I was very pleased with the film as a whole and how much they were able to leave in. They did cut out a lot of stuff that just made the book for me, but I understand that they weren't key to the movie and the plot in general.
The only real complaints I can come up with right now are Barty Crouch Senior, the Priori Incantantem scene, and a little bit about the maze:
- Barty Crouch was physically perfect, but his voice is completely wrong. I wanted to hit him very, very hard during the pre-First Task scene.
- Priori Incantantem was extremely rushed, and therefore lacked emotion and clarity. That was slightly upsetting but forgiveable to a degree.
- Although I did love how the maze was alive, and the fog was pretty creepy, I think there should have been more to the maze. Would it really put that much of a dent in their budget to put in a charm/curse or two?
The beginning was very rough, but hopefully the DVD will have deleted scenes that will make it smoother.
Oh, and Ron, Harry, George, and Fred were sexy as hell. And Neville made me laugh soo, sooooo much.
And now I can't stop shaking. I just have to go back soon! Tomorrow?
Thank you for going with me Caitlin! It wouldn't have been as much fun with anybody else!(did I spell your name right? I just realized idk how you spell it...)
