Random thought of the day: Litter box placement

It occurred to me that with the rabbits who started with me as babies (the adopted two were a whole different story), always chose the same corner for their litter boxes; the back left. Maybe that has something to do with type of cage used? I always chose large dog kennel styles for my rabbits, which maybe that's frowned upon but it always worked

My bunbun chose the back right, my previous bun also chose that spot.

My son and his mentor built an enclosed area in the basement for our buns. They picked the corner right in front of the door, so we have to step over the box to get in. Argh! But both use the box, so feeling lucky there.

Celery uses the back right corner.

I have 4 in separate cages and they all like theirs in the back right but they nudge it forward a few inches because they like to go (play) behind it at times.
