30 Day Meme: Day Eight
What is an update? Well I guess this would be one.
Day 08 - A moment
Well since it happened yesterday I'll write about it. Recently I moved away from home to a bigger city to attend college with my friend that I have known the longest, Lisa. We have been in the city for about a week getting use to the bus system since we do not have our cars with us. Anyway yesterday we decided to go to the movie Black Swan and we googled map the directions to get there. Even with the directions we still had to ask a guy at ICO how to find the theater because the bus dropped us off on one of the main streets and we had to walk along the highway and cross some roads to reach the movie theater. We found the theater and with about 5/10 minutes to spare, we bought our tickets and some snacks and watched a very enjoyable movie. It was confusing at times but after thinking about it, I understand it.
But before I could sit down and think about it we realized we only had about 10 minutes to hike up the hill, cross multiple highways to catch the bus back home! So we rushed out the movie theater, zig zagged through cars in the parking lot and ran along the road on a barely there sidewalk that was covered with big ice/snow chunks. We looked both ways before crossing the highways not caring about if the sign said it was okay or not. We were just lucky it wasn't a busy highway. We ran the whole way to our bus stop which I'm quite amazed we did because I haven't been in cross country for 3 years and Lisa does run either. We ran there and we made it in time! The bus should come any minute but then we saw it drive past on the main road not even turning to our bus shelter...the directions lied to us. We attempted to run after it to get on but it pulled away from the curb and drove off.
I was kind of worried at first because it was late and I didn't know if the bus would come back. We wandered the street grumbling about our bad luck till we discovered the bus does come back and we could get home that night.
Well that's one moment. It wasn't scary so I hope I didn't worry you.

Day 08 - A moment
