The rain was pouring hard and the wind was blowing strong; perfect weather for Scarlet School of Witchcraft’s graduation ceremony. The students flew in at the last minute; dressed in their best outfits, hair nicely done and broom newly polished for the special occasion.
Everywhere in the auditorium, students were busy. Some laughing with their friends. Some biting their nails off in worry. Some reading quietly without much care for the surrounding students. Some helping themselves to the food. And some met up with their teachers to thank them.
“Sungmin! Eunhyuk!” the two turned when they heard their names being called to find a petite girl waving her arms madly trying to get their attention.
“Hey Wookie!” They greeted the girl in unison. “What’s up?”
“Nothing much. Just waiting for my results like everyone else. Any of you seen Heechul?”
Sungmin and Eunhyuk looked at each other. “If Heechul was here, everyone would be able to see her.”
As if on cue a long haired girl came crashing through the window on her sports broom. “Looks like I made it on time.” She announced and made her way to her friends ignoring all the stares.
“Kim Heechul! That’s the fifth window this year.” One of the senior teachers shouted.
“Then aren’t you glad I’m graduating this year?” Heechul replied and continued walking.
Minutes later the bell which signaled the start of the ceremony rang and everyone rushed to a seat as they waited in anticipation. Many speeches later it was finally time to announce the top three pupils of the year.
“As you all know, every year, the top three students get to go to the human world to continue their training but this year, due to a tie, we will have four students instead.” This mean everyone’s chances have just increased from 1 in 4000 to 1 in 3000. Everyone held their breath.
“In third we have, Kim Heechul.” Everyone’s jaw fell wide open. No one really expected trouble causing Kim Heechul to come in third. Kim Heechul’s reaction was a different story altogether. She was cursing for not coming in first.
“Moving on,” the announcer continued after coming back to his senses, “In second we have a tie between Lee Sungmin and Lee Hyukjae. Well, it was to be expected from twins I suppose.” The girls just smiled while everyone else was hoping to be the top student.
“And finally, the top student of this year’s batch is… Kim Ryeowook!” Half the school groaned while the other half cheered.
“Looks like all that hard work paid off.” Sungmin and Eunhyuk congratulated their friend.
“But I could’ve done better.” Heechul piped in.
“Pay her no attention.”
“Well you’re just jealous.”
“Would the four of you please shut the fuck up and go pack your belongings already. We’re opening the gates at noon, don’t be late.
The girls were stunned by their teacher’s sudden outburst and use of vulgarity. “So meet you guys here in an hour?” Heechul started.
Everyone nodded.
Note: Yeah I got this random idea and I don’t know if I’m going to continue. It’s really messy-well, in my mind. If I’m I’d only write this when I clear all the previous fics (that I have yet to complete). Mistakes are a must so yeah. comment?
