I kept my newest kitten separated from the other cat in the house when I first got her until she could get her vaccinations and such. Despite being a huge pain I found it to make introducing them to be so much easier than usual. They spent a month separated by a door and they'd lay on either side of it poking at each other so by the time they finally met they were so curious to meet they were just excited.

Good luck on getting the new baby to fit in! I <3 special needz kittehs... the more special the better, especially if they're fat. Plz make def kitty fat!
