James/Vesper were so awesome together. And their "meet cute" on the train was seriously hot. I can't believe I actually cried at the end of the movie :(

I still think Tracy Bond's death in On Her Majesty's Secret Service was sadder due to Bond entering Reality Denying Mode (even more so in the books) and Tracy's struggles with depression and suicide. But Vesper's death is still fucking cruel. IF ONLY THINGS HAD BEEN DIFFERENT, THEY COULD'VE WANDERED THE WORLD AIMLESSLY, SNARKING AT EACH OTHER.
