Have you armed yourself? Fire is quite potent on the Dead. I'm unfamiliar if that fandom's Death is the same as or similar to mine, but... If it's not, perhaps normal bladed weapons will work?

There may be instances when running isn't possible. It would be best to plan for the worst-case scenario and make sure you can fight if you need to.
