This is a song that I wrote for the band that I'm in...I realise the lyrics aren't very good but it sounds better when you sing it and its in harmony and you have the guitar and especially the bass played by Sky (So far we haven't put in the bass but we know how it goes...) And its the memories that count anyway.
Recalling waking in the morning
The commune kitchens, and waiting for the night time
Memories of firelit beaches
Of smoking, drinking, waiting for the sunrise
Endless days of changing ways
Endless days of changing ways
Remembering the strangers' faces
The names we heard were instantly forgotten
Running from the waves and laughing
Seeing lights a way across the ocean
Endless days of changing ways
Endless days of changing ways
And when the night comes
You know that we'll be
Down by the fires
And we'll see them for miles
All night by the sea
And its you and its me
And when the night comes
You know that we'll be
Down by the caves
In the underground raves
And we'll all go on
'Til the break of the dawn.
I've also just realised that it changes tense half way through. Ah well.
I miss Newquay.
It doesn't have a name yet. Any ideas?
