I've had a lot on my mind the past couple days so I went for a run today. Normally, I do 3 miles... I did 4 once.

Today I did 5. I'm sweaty, achy (I took a 2.5 hour dance class last night), woozy... but brilliantly happy. I know it's just 5 miles... but it's a new accomplishment. :)

Another one for the history books...

I just got dumped by my non-boyfriend over the phone.

Oh, well......... 6 months ain't bad.

I went to Mexico for a fabulous week with my bestie... and it was so exactly what I needed. So fun!! I met tons of people, drank a ton (but not too much), got a nice little tan... ah, yes... just what I needed ( Read more... )

As we all know, one of the great perks of teaching is that we get Summertime off. Our school may be switching to year-round, which means our Summer vacation weeks are stretched out at different parts during the year so Summer isn't as long. I don't know the outcome yet... but I'll be getting either 6 or 10 weeks off, either of which sounds fab at ( Read more... )

I took my first sick day today from teaching. I asked about three different veteran teachers for reassurance that I wouldn't be fired, and took the day off.

I slept til 11:30 for the first time in forever... spent the day in bed doped up on cold meds. I hope tomorrow will be better. At least my voice is back. This was one brutal cold.

I have grown tired of worrying about boys (unless they are seven years old, in my class, and in need of knowledge).
