I dont have many memories of too many state to state road trips with my family....except a motorhome ride to disneyland with my dad and step mom and step sister and my lil sister. None of us got along...it was horrible. heh.
the other family trips were pretty much all day trips, to the mountains for camping, or to far off state parks with cool lakes in the summer. My best memories on road trips were when my grandpa would pile about 10 grandkids of all ages into the back of his pickup truck (covered) and he had a big mattress back there for us, and we would have our own little igloo ice chest with sodas and sandwiches and we would sing that "the ants go marching on" song or 99 bottles o rootbeer on the wall. heh. ahhhhhhh good times.......well except when one of us kids had to pee and grandpa couldnt hear us pounding on the glass between the cab and the canopy hahahahha ooooooooooooops :S

hey, we did the exact thing. Our family trips in the younger years were in my dad's covered pickup, and he would put an air mattress back there for me and my brother. We would have blankets and pillows and books to read as we watched the scenery change from day to day. Man those were good times.

it's one of my favorite pictures I've taken of myself.
