I misused the word "milquetoast"

now making that the seventh time I've misused a word in a published movie or music review (not to mention all the times I've fucked up words on here). It's really embarrassing, actually, as this is not just my friend's lame website, it's the website of a magazine that at least a few people read (The L Magazine) and if anyone who reads that thing ( Read more... )

I have heard the word Milquetoast used to describe an overly perfect character. It may not be technically correct, but to the average idiot (me) it certainly doesn't sound stupid.
I similarly misuse the term "Vanilla" quite freely and without remorse.

The very fact that you used "milquetoast" at all is deserving of at least three or four Tyrranosaurus Rex teeth, the prize given for all acts of great wisdom and inspiration in our times. Dear SHW, I miss you.
