Same thing goes for the Last Samurai in a way--as far as knowing that you're going to die and revel in all of the beauties that life has to offer along the way. I think that that's a reason that, like you said we're living longer and everything, that we should travel and explore as much of this world that we can because the opportunities are endless. I know that many people are unfortunate that don't have the ability to travel, but I think it's essential--in addition to 'finding yourself' which often proves to be a more difficult task in many aspects. Along with this thought, with regards to the Last Samurai, that has nothing to do, really with what you said: the age of technology adds an element of cowardice to battle. Hmm. Well, I know you sent a reply to the other thing I said and that you wanted to hear more, but I think it may be more than what I want to type. I've always got thoughts. If you want, maybe we could hang out some time when I'm home and talk.
That would be fun!burnbrighteyesJune 10 2004, 10:34:12 UTC
Tell me when you are home and we will talk about life, love, and people : ) Sometimes I think everybody goes through this : we become aware of life and questions it, then, figuring we can't change anything, accept it. NOt to say that life is less beautiful or meaningful then it used to be or that it sucks to accept it...Beautiful things are everywhere...Traveling! I would love to travel.. I want to see everything with my own eyes and stand there and let it sink it.
