Aww...that's too bad! But yay for trying and thanks for sharing. Tomorrow I have to work late so maybe I'm going to buy one of these green smoothies at the Immergrün Saftbar (if they have one ^^).
Your welcome :D I'll let you know how any new experiments turn out :)
According to their website, they should have a green one with spinach. PLEASE let me know how that is if you try it :D We don't have an Immergrün here, but I'll have to google if we have any other juice/smoothie bars anywhere close by :)
Hmm, I think perhaps there should be some other ingredients too - usually there's something protein in a smoothie, like yogurt or tofu. Try looking online. I'm sure you'll find lots of recipes to try and eventually you'll find one or more you do like. :)
I did read that we're so used to artificial flavor and sweet tasts that green smoothies might be something you have to get used to before you can enjoy them. But still, this tasted like nothing but yucky. So, either I add some fruit to it next time or more spices?
I will look up some stuff and yogurt might be a good addition :)
It is very true that. We are spoiled by all the additives in food to make it taste "good" so we think natural foods taste icky. My MIL is definitely one of those, but for her its salt. Everything tastes bland without a handful of salt.
I don't really use much salt, most of the time I don't use any at all. I noticed that smokers use a lot more salt because they don't taste it that strongly anymore. When Andy stopped smoking for a bit, he finally believed me that he uses too much salt when he cooks, because that was the first time he actually tasted it too.
