The camp of the people who the survivors so brazenly call "Others" is deep in mourning. The portal spits Ben and Juliette out between the bear cages-

But Sawyer's asleep and Kate is too.

They can be quiet. It's part of the trick. Ben's quieter then she is, but it's a walk to the bungalows-and her bungalow in particular.

"Sure," he says absently.

He hasn't been here in a long time. When she leaves, he sits down on the couch they used to read together on, making himself comfortable with a cushion--there's that twinge of pain in his back again, making it hard not to think about things--and flips through the medical dictionary to keep himself occupied.

She returns a few minutes later with a towel in her hair wearing pajamas and a bathrobe.

Taking a moment, she grabs a chair, watching him carefully.

"...How're you feeling?"

"Better," he says, giving her a smile, even though it's a total lie. He closes the book.

"You need to get some better reading material. Crime and Punishment, maybe." He smirks.

Juliette played with the towel around her head for a moment, "...The Mad Russian's never been on my list of favorite books."

She studied Ben for a moment, knowing he'd read just about anything, "I did get the new Steven King Book though. well maybe not new, but reasonably new..."

She lowered her eyes, "...Thanks for coming back to my house with me."
